A strong profile without a CV

For practical work you do not need a CV. This is how employers still see what you can do.

Nail stylist at work in a salon

Many employers in salons, kitchens, building and gardening care more about what you can do than about a document. A good profile shows that in a few minutes.

Start with your languages

Add every language you speak, with an honest level. Native, fluent and basic for the workplace are all useful: a kitchen team or a cleaning team often works in more than one language.

Describe your skills in short words

  • Write what you can do, not where you studied: for example pruning hedges, laying paving, gel nails or wok cooking.
  • Mention the tools and machines you can use.
  • Say how many years of experience you have.

Be clear about your availability

Fill in when you can start, how many hours you want to work and how far you can travel. Employers often look for someone who can start soon and lives nearby.

Add photos of your work

Photos say more than a long text. A finished garden, a tiled bathroom or a set of nails shows your level right away. Read our tips about photos of your work.

Keep it up to date
